We go to Wyoming, September 2007.  Our flight to Montana was cancelled, our vacation completely changed.
First night in Cheyenne.  They
cancelled our fight to
Bozeman!  Monday off to the
Snowy Mt. Range west of
Laramie.  The boot below left
was a nice piece of work.
Day 2 was a lot different!   The low-cal meal
to the right is a chili omelet with onions
and cheese on top, slab of hash browns;
while Linda tackles a plate of flapjacks!
We're trying to hit the back roads and
scenic highways.    The 31-mile dirt road
took us 2 hours to cross, ending in Cody.
Having a Jeep came in handy over the
washboard dirt road.   Below to the right is
a picture of a herd of antelope grazing in
some rancher's field.  When I tried to get
closer to the field, the buck stood his
ground and glared at me!
from the balcony of our room in Red Lodge, MT.
We were headed through Rocky Mountain National Park, entering from
the West only to be stopped by snow.  We got to 11,300 in the snow but the
road was closed ahead; so back we went, then south and to Denver.
